HAVER & BOECKER

On December 4, 2008 Haver Ibau India Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of Haver & Boecker and Ibau Hamburg, was ceremoniously inaugurated. The 130 guests who came together in the company’s location in Vadodara, in the state of Gujarat, were comprised of customers, sub-suppliers, employees of local partner companies as well as honored local politicians.

Managing Director Wilhelm Dyckerhoff began by presenting the young company’s team, which is currently 20 members strong and is expected to grow to 50 members in the coming months. He extended sincere thanks to those who successfully planned the construction project and accompanied it from the laying of the cornerstone to its completion. On the 10,000 m² factory site, there is an administration building and a neighboring production hall.

Dr. Reinhold Festge, Active Partner of Haver & Boecker OHG in Germany, stressed in his welcoming speech that India is in no way a new market for the German machinery company, instead that the Indian cement and construction materials industry has been supplied with German technology for 55 years. The good development prognoses for India as well as the positive experiences that the Haver & Boecker Wire Weaving Division has made in over 20 years of its joint-venture ultimately gave reason to found a branch office.

The inauguration signals the beginning of the production of high-quality equipment for the handling and packaging of cement and construction materials. The company is thereby in the position to meet growing demand in India for automation and efficient plant technology and to ensure short delivery channels.
